Caution Spoilers
So Lucien came to the rescue of dwarf village, and defeated the earth worm trasken.
There is a video clip of Trasken destroying the village, with the dwarves scattering in fear.
But there is a lot of information on Lucien that is missing.
Is Lucien a dwarf? What class is he supposed to be? Does he exist as an NPC somewhere? Did he survive the fight?
I suspect this information, if it exists, is in the numerous Mithril Mines Quests, and unfortunately in the Boss instances: Teredor and Trasken.
The Quest Lucien's Altar (80+) has the player visit the 5 altars honoring Lucien's heroism in the mines and replacing the energy crystals protecting against trasken, but offers very little lore.

I believe, based on the old lore, that Lucien was a dwarven hero. I have no screens to back it up at this time, however.

You visit the dwarf village while Trasken was there briefly at 85. There was no Lucien, though I wouldn't say the dwarves were running in fear. They seemed to be rather organized following an orc into battle.
There is also a visit to the DE village... though it left me more confused about what happened there. What is actually known about the events in DE village? The lore section of the GoD page is... less than satisfying.

(Hello, I know that this is a bit... unorthodox and you don't know me at all, but here I am, hoping to be at least useful.)
I tried to put together the dismal remains of my records concerning Lineage 2. Unfortunately, I have no screens any more, since it was decided that a written form of such records is more efficient... Despite this fact, you can rest assured that I have no interest in bringing up false information, nor do I have any intentions of that sort. But it's all from pre-GoD, of course. Anyway, here it is, although the last reply in this topic is almost six months old.
[Caution Spoilers]
The Hero Lucien ((Preface: It is said that long ago, Earth Worm Trasken, one of Shilen's dragons, settled deep within the Spine Mountains and fell asleep for a very long time. The Dwarves have built their Village in the western part of the region and had no idea of Trasken’s presence. The Gray Pillar guild has built a mine in the eastern mountains and dug deep. While mining for mithril - following the rich veins, they accidentally reached the Earth Worm’s nest and woke Trasken. At the time, he was too powerful for the Dwarven armies. He destroyed the village and killed hundreds of Dwarves.)) But a Dwarf called Lucien, who was said to have been born with the blessing of Maphr, suddenly appeared with his people. Lucien courageously fought the Earth Worm alone and defeated him with his fighting skills, enormous strength and willpower. He saved the Dwarves. At the time, Trasken was dead, magically sealed (note: which is strange, given the fact that Dwarves were supposed to be unable to use magic) by the Hero in the depths of the Mithril Mines. But, in the end, the Worm stayed alive in a way... in the form of one of his eggs, laid somewhere in the depths of the Spine Mountains. Lucien said that he has always believed that Maphr, the Goddess of the Earth, was forever with him and that the victory was only possible because of her blessing. He has been the Hero and a role-model of Dwarves ever since the battle. And although the Hero himself is no longer living, Dwarves carved many a sculpture in his honour, making sure the Hero Lucien’s legacy lasts.
The text comes from Defender Runant and Priestess of the Earth Chichirin - both from Dwarven Village.
It seems that there are (Are they still? Because the seal was destroyed by Shilen in GoD.) five Lucien's Altars in the Mithril Mines, commemorating his heroism and empowering the magical shield. They also require maintenance to work properly. (Lucien's Altar quest) I haven't heard of a Lucien NPC and I'm not so sure if I ever saw a single Dwarven statue. I only recall seeing a Dwarven bust in the... Schuttgart region, I guess. Not sure it was him though.
Anyway, I hope this helps. :)
