All power demands sacrifice...
Kuros kneeled in the middle of the ritual room, surrounded by a circle inscribed with magical runes. It has taken some effort in gathering all the required artifacts and even greater effort in preparing for this Ritual of Awakening. Dachande has been located in the Anghel Waterfall region thanks to a modified scrying spell that required Kuros' own blood as the catalyst. The spell worked perfectly, his blood had the same if not faint energy signatures as Dachande had, it was enough for the magic to form a link between the two, though Kuros was sure his "other" was unaware of it. A small smile crept up on the Dark Lord's face. His own forces were already closing in on the position to ensure everything went as planned. He reached out and began tracing the runes that would begin the ritual. The time of his rebirth was at hand.

Dachande observed the female Kamael before him. He watched her every movement with some uncertainty. Jeswarai has changed, and he feared it was for the worst. It was only a few days since their fabled reunion which almost ended in disaster and how gutwrentching that experience was. All this time he searched the world for her killers and wishing her back and now that she was finally there he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. He thought things would be alright, but they were not. How did everything come to this? How did she become so weak? She was never like that before, even despite what she told him that she chose him he still felt a shadow of doubt, though he hid it from her. Has she truly chosen him? While it was true he told her to cooperate with the Celebrant he did not tell her to be sympathetic toward her, especially not after what Olorae did to them both.
He shook his head to get the thoughts out, all they did was bring him more headaches, and speaking of headaches he really did have one right now and it threatened to split his skull open. He moved silently and helped Jeswarai pack her belongings. They were going to leave shortly back to the Hall of Echoes, to confront Olorae on her actions. Though seriously he didn't expect to get any results. Funny he mused, how that place was once a place of sanctuary for him and now it stood for everything he hated. The headache intensified suddenly, causing him to drop a pair of pants he was about to hand to the kamael. He staggered to the side and reached out to support himself. Nileha, who was comfortably resting on the furs by the bed suddenly looked up, and growled.
"Jes....I'm sorry, I think I need to step...." He began and then cried out. The pain was so sudden and intense. It felt like someone reached out into his chest and started to tug at his heart as if to tear it out. Then came the white hot fire that surged through his mind. "What is.....happening to.....me." He stumbled back as images flashed through his mind. In them he saw a white haired human standing among the flames of a burned down church, he saw corpses of priestes and priestesses strewn all around him. The human turned ever so slowly and revealed himself. Dachande gasped, the human looked exactly like him, just that he lacked the scar that ran across his face and he didn't have the sun gold hair that he had. It is time to wake up and reveal your true form, you've been separated from me for too long. The voice sent a deep chill down his spine, it was so cold and so straightforward and it was directed at him. Then something at the back of Dachande's mind clicked, something that was locked away for a long time, something that Dachande did not want to believe but was coming true. His heart raced and he looked at the Kamael that stood in front of him. He reached out to her with his hand that was already fading just as the rest of his body was. "Jes!" He cried out to her before his vision went black and the consciousness that was Dachande was wiped out from existence. In his place remained a black crystal which glittered ominously with dark energy.

((Alright Jes, take it away))
