I have finally completed the Bio of Rinth. And with that, there will be no responses please, but OC comments are welcomed. Enjoy. It's.. really long, hehehe.
------------------------------------------------------------
The music was of a soft melody in the town of Heine. The place glimmered all over with the fresh scent of the oceans and it’s calming waves that gave the town it’s signature allure…
She danced. She loved to dance around the fountain. With a big smile as if she was but a little elf again, she danced around with her hands twirling in serenade, fingers playing a tune and swift motions above her head, almost angelic but deadly at the same time. The water glistened as fighting colors dark green and soft gold flickered in the water of the fountain’s reflection of her robes while the female dark elf danced around it like was a fire pit. Those innocent eyes.. they hide such tragedy.. but she feels as free as ever.
Close by sat Saihi. Her sister. Not by blood.. but by deep bond. Although Saihi’s story was not as tragic, she still held so much in common with her past as the other dark elf did. A small content smile curls Saihi’s lips as she just watched her sister in happiness. She always took her sister to this spot on the anniversary of that day.. so that she can’t remember and stay in a peaceful mind. If she were ever to think of about it again.. Well, we can say that anyone outside the town would most likely not make it to peaceful zone.
Nearby on the other side stood a male dwarf. Name unknown but he watched the dark elf in gleaming joy that danced around the fountain. He was confused and ever so curious. Watching her he thought, “What is this? A female dark elf.. dancing with joy like this? I’ve never seen one be so …” He trails off noticing the other dark elf sitting by and watching as he put the clue together that they were somehow in acquaintance. With great bold moves and curiosity in his belly he wobbled his way over to Saihi. She sat there, although his presence was known to her, but she didn’t like to socialize much with others and decided to leave him be. But, this dwarf had questions.
He cleared his throat with a stifling couch, almost as if frightened, before finally he spoke to Saihi. “Excuse me.. about that dark elf..”, as he began to say, Saihi snapped her gaze quick to him. She made it strikingly apparent that she knew the dancing dark elf. Saihi wore a red spirit mask that could hide her eyes in darkness but she could still see as she gazed deep within the dwarf. He could feel it. That famous dark elf gaze searing into his being as he felt like trembling but still continued with another cough, “uhm.. do you know her? What’s .. wrong with her? She’s like.. a child….”, he took a gulp in bravery but relief that he finally spilled the questions to the unknown dark elf, sitting in silence for a few seconds as her gaze slowly reverts back to the dancing dark elf.
….
Minutes begin to pass. The male dwarf almost gives up the question before finally the low but luminous tone of Saihi’s voice raises, “Her name is Rinth. She is my sister.. And there is nothing wrong with her. She’s just different because of her past.” He looked back to the dancing dark elf, known as Rinth and continued, with more confidence and still in his words, “What about her past? What could drive a grown dark elf to be so ..” his words faded and he awaited more to continue from Saihi..
Saihi’s eyes closed behind her mask as her chin tilted down, although her expression of pain and misery was not apparent to the dwarf. She continued on, telling the story of her beloved and slightly insane sister to the stranger. It had been a while since it was told.. and anything to get the pestering thing away to leave them in peace.
Her eyes opened once again as she just kept a strong gaze to Rinth.. watching as she dance and played within the water of the fountain. Small splashings all around as the water sparkled in small droplets. Suddenly and no warning, a shock to the dwarf, she began the story.. of Rinth…
“When she was a child it was happy and very pleasant for Rinth. Her mother was a very beautiful fair dark elf that all the other men drooled upon her. But alas, she was married to the famous Shillien Knight, Marlonius. Marlonius was a great leader for the clan of Ascarerea. Second in command of him was Ulvara. He was quick with a dagger but couldn’t posses the honor that Marlonius had. He was greed with envy of him. Leader of the great clan and with the most beautiful woman far as the Giran shore can see. Although in appearance he was the best friend and close battle champion to Marlonius, Ulvara was sneaky and treacherous. He had plans to destroy him.. and his family. Then rule over the clan once and for all..”
Her voice faded in a slither, as if the story had ended. The dwarf couldn’t believe that was just it. What did he do? What did Ulvara plan?.. He nearly held his breath as Saihi had him clinching to the story she was telling. Saihi’s eyes had never averted away from Rinth, now sitting on the fountain’s edge, relaxing and playing with random water bugs around in the water. No, her gaze was fixated to her dear sister. With love and compassion, no matter what they say of her..
Again Saihi’s voice reaches to the dwarf’s ears as she continues on with no notice, “With jealousy in his eyes and nothing but fame in the sight of his future, Ulvara had decided to fool everyone that he could see visions that were being sent from our Goddess Shilen. He thought that with this power he could gain the trust from others and take away the honor of leading the clan away from Marlonius. And so, he went forth to the people of his clan and the families, preaching of the Goddess and of the future that he proceeds to happen. “The eye ! I see it! The eye…. Her daughter will come forth and she will RISE the Goddess and bring her back to our people!” The crowd cheers in his glory as he calls out, their belief in him rising as he announces loud and proudly. Ulvara was grinning with glee as he watched the crowd wave over in his words. He did it, he thought. Soon the day will come and he will take the leading crown of the clan away from Marlonius.
And so it came. As Ulvara had said. The first day of the 4th Chronicles was the beginning of the soon to be arrival of their great One. .
Marlonius was in the blacksmith hall working on his weapon. Sharpening it to perfection, as he always liked it to be as such. Rinth would secretly watch her farther, peeking in around the entryway at him, sparkles in her eyes as she watched him work with the heat and hammer and finally the steel touching with the stone as it gloriously flared the bright colors in clear sight through the air. Suddenly, she crouched back as Ulvara rushed in with excitement. “Did you see it, Marlonius?! My vision! So it came true! I never thought.. I mean. What I saw, I didn’t know it were to be true. I thought I was crazy!”, he cried out with joy, breathing heavy with a grin on his face and an even wicked more in his mind. Marlonius however just quietly continued to work on his weapon and with an honest chuckle he said, “My good friend, everyone knew this was coming. It’s not much of a surprise, Ulvara. I doubt that they are visions from the One you speak of. Besides, what is she to do when she comes? Save us? Just like all the other Gods…”, shaking his head he gave up on his words.”
As Saihi kept continuing on with the story the dwarf decided to take a seat and rested his rump rear down nearby, careful he was not to get too close to the dark elf that was speaking to him.. But he wanted and kept on listening to her with an intrigued glaze over his eyes..
“Ulvara was furious, but none the less he didn’t care if Marlonius believed him. It was the people that were important!
Months grew on and Ulvara kept preaching of more visions as they came true, most of them he had corrupted himself to make then come true. Marlonius ignored them all. Ulvara’s plan was to grow trust with the people and most of all the clan members so that he can one day take away the lead. Within this time, Marlonius suddenly and slowly grew ill. He was getting weaker, skin paler than usual and strange bruising. His eyes were red and he often coughed vigorously. Rinth was very sad at this and her mother tried helplessly to take care of him and the rest of the people wanted him to be cured. Of course.. except Ulvara. Did he have anything to do with this, perhaps? It could be possible… as one day…. in his bed… Rinth’s father passed away.. With her mother at his side they both cried out in tears.
Ulvara was first to hear of this news. Of course he was happy! And with a grin he ran out to the people and started his preaching again. “People! I SAW IT! The Goddess… She calls out to me in whispers…. ‘Sacrifice…. Sacrifice…’”, Someone then yells out, “Sacrifice who?! Or What?! TELL US ULVARA! What must we do!?” The crowd then roars out and Ulvara tries his hardest to hold back a grin. “She is showing me… Marlonius. He… he did not die of an illness nor in vein. It was her! She did it! She said a great warrior had to be killed for her great battle to come forth!” The crowd whispers over to each other, nodding and words can be heard like, “It was a rather sudden and strange illness.. That is true.”
Rinth and her mother stayed at the bed of the now deceased Marlonius.. Both in tears, as they just stayed there, keeping the memory of him close to heart..
Days passed. Ulvara finally gained control of the clan and was living the high life he longed for. He wasn’t too terrible at leading but his reasons for events weren’t of best interest and more of an evil state of mind than how Marlonius would encourage the clan. He now had everything. Except one. The beautiful lady by his side. Of course, Rinth’s mother would never give herself into loving or even being with Ulvara. But, if he couldn’t have then no one ever will. Not even the lad of Aden will be given her grace. And so he planned. Ulvara hadn’t preached a ‘vision’ in a while. Until one day he ran in a terror, pretending to be shaken in the middle of his sleep and ran out to the town’s square, also stirring up the people to come forth.
“I SAW HER…!! After so long.. she has come to me again.” The people still awaking crowd around him, whispering with curiosity to another. He yelped out again. “She wants another sacrifice.. She says she needs the lady of most grace and kind eyes to bring herself to the Goddess...” Gasps are heard around and a woman cries out, “Who does she want?! What shall we do to her?! Tell us!” Ulvara grins, “The lady of the Warrior who was before sacrifice. It must be her.. And she must be thrown off from the falls of the nearby water fall around the swamp into the depth of the water and drown to be released to the Goddess!”
And with a roar of the crowd they gather and head to the home of Rinth and her mother, of whom are sleeping in serenity quietly. Two stealthy men sneak in and slither their way into her mother’s bedroom, quickly a hand is crushed to her mouth to silence her as she awakes in terror with blue eyes of the sea crying out helplessly and in great confusion. They sneak her out, not to awake Rinth and begin to lead her to the water fall.
Finally they reach the destination. She is trying to scream out but they have wrapped a cloth around her face to prevent such. The droplets of tears stream down the curves of her cheeks as she is lost on the occurrence, hands also tied behind her as they stand at the hill to the water fall. Ulvara yells out, “OUR GODDESS WE HEAR YOU AND COME TO YOUR BECKON CALL! WE BRING YOUR SACRIFICE TO YOU AS REQUESTED AND PRAY FOR YOUR ARRIVAL AND BLESSING!” They cheer in glory.
Rinth suddenly awakens as she feels the presence of her mother not around. She was high known for skills as this, even though she had no promise of an Assassin. Magic was her great skill. As he climbed herself out of bed she softly cried out, “Mother? Are you awake?” But there was no answer. So, she then walked out of her own room and to her Mother’s to of course find her not there. She panics and checks the house but she is nowhere to be found. Suddenly she stops in her panic rush, listening closely as she can now hear what sounds like a crowd of people cheering. “MOTHER!..?!” She rushes swiftly from the house, following the sound of the crowd.
She runs. She runs quickly with the uneasy feeling that there is no good up ahead. Nearing closer to the water fall she can see them, the crowd of people with her bounded mother. She hurries quicker trying to reach in time, but with a yell from Ulvara, “GLORIOUS GODDESS, WE GIVE HER TO YOU!”, Rinth is reaching her arms out as if to help her run faster or to catch her mother as Ulvara suddenly pushes her.
Like time had suddenly slowed she watched her mother, eyes widen in terror and tears flowing from her cheeks as she sights her daughter near.. she closes them while falling to her final breath of life before pummeling and crashing into the water. The fall knocks her out and she drowns instantly…
Rinth stopped in mid run as she watched her mother finally submerged in the water. She couldn’t believe it. But it happened … and at that moment something changed within Rinth. Her world crashed all around and her state of mind became numb for days before finally resting in a place of insanity. The death of her parents sent her into a World of destruction and chaos that she will never return from again…”
Saihi’s voice trailed off. And that was it. Rinth’s story had come to an end. The dwarf had a gleem in his eyes of sadness as he then looked upon the dark elf at the water fall. He didn’t know what to say and so he said nothing. He sat up and took a kind bow in gratitude to her for telling such a great and sadden story. Then he just left.
Still alone, Saihi’s whispers softly and lowly to herself, eyes still fixated to Rinth.. “But in the insanely chaos she has elegance and grace. My sweet sister..”
Rinth notices a stir in Saihi’s emotions and quickly with grace she twirls over to her sister with a gleaming grin like a child playing, “My dear sister. Can we ride on the fun boat again, pleaseee?”
Saihi nods to her sister as she rises from her seat, “One last time.” …. Rinth giggles with joy, “Oh how I love the rocking.. and swaying of the motion from the sea, sister. The wind on the ride makes me feel as if I am flying…!” Saihi chuckles as they walk away from the fountain and head to the docks…
