Dachande paused as another scream pierced the silence. This time it sounded like it came from a female. What the hell is going on here? The knight thought as he continued to move through the catacombs. It is then that he came upon the first set of bodies. Humans and dark elves all strewn across the ground like broken dolls. The bodies of paladins and cultists were blackened and charred. No, not charred, Dachande realized as he knelt down to inspect one of the humans. Withered like dead flowers. Someone or something drained them dry. The scream sounded again and the knight got up and ran towards the source. He passed more bodies, these ones belonging to demons who met the same fate as the others. Every instinct told Dachande to turn back and flee as far as he possibly could, yet he couldn't help but move forward. He turned the corner and then stopped dead in his tracks. What he saw chilled him to the bone. There were corpses of angels everywhere and the thing that was responsible for all of this stood in the middle of the room. She held a female angel by the throat with one hand while she held a freshly torn wing in the other. The second bloodied wing lay on the ground beside her. The Angel struggled in her opponent's vice like grip but could not free herself. Her thrashing turned to spasms of agony when the thing that held her drained her of her life essence. Her body withered and turned black. Then after a few short moments it went limp. The creature sneered at what remained of the angel and tossed it away along with the wing in the same manner a child discards a toy she's no longer interested in. The creature then turned to fully face the knight.
Dachande took one involuntary step back. The thing that stood before him resembled something that was crossed between angel and demon. She had feathered wings which were black like a raven's. Her body was lithe and shapely as the armor she wore left very little for his imagination. Her sliver hair hung past her shoulders though it did nothing to hide the pointed ears or the pair of horns that sat like some sort of crown on her head. Her black lips curled to form a predatory smile when she fixed her eyes, which were as black as the pools of the abyss, on the knight. "Do you like what you see, my love?" Her voice was feminine but inhuman. Almost like a dark whispering echo that spoke of terrors beyond imagining. She tilted her head and regarded the silent knight with mild amusement. "Am I so changed that you do not recognize me?" She started walking towards him, taking slow deliberate steps. "Or is it that my presence still has you awestruck, Dachande?" She circled around him and trailed her delicate, clawed finger along his jawline when she came around to face him once more.
Dachande's eyes watched her every movement as she came around him. She knew his name, which was something that sent another chill down his spine. "Who...are you? How do you know my name?" He asked. She looked and sounded familiar to him. The way she moved, the way she touched him, even in the way she spoke to him. Again he saw her smile. The look she gave him spoke of dark desires and a hunger that could not be sated. It was clear that she was enjoying his confusion and the bit of dicomfort he showed. She extended her left wing to its full span and then plucked a black feather. She then took his hand in hers and placed the pinion in his palm. "Now you have another to remember me by." She spoke with with a playful if not mischevious tone.
At that statement Dachande's eyes widened in shock. He knew of only one person who had given him a feather from her wing before but if she knew then that would mean... "Jeswarai?!" He spoke her name and the creature nodded softly. He knew she looked familiar but the change and such.....power. He could see the dark energies flowing through her, warping the very fabric of reality around her. She was saturated in them. "How? What happened to you?"
"Why my love, I have become that which you desired. I am your Harbinger as you once said and this..." She swept her hand all across the room and the corpses of all she has slain. "Is my gift to you." Dachande looked around the room at all of the corpses and the blood splattered walls. Only now after a closer look was he truly able to comprehand the carnage his beloved has wrough. It was like something out of a nightmare. Cold hands wrapped around his waist from behind and then glided up his chest as he felt the kamael rest her head on his shoulder. "Are you not pleased? Were these beings not your enemies?" She whispered seductively into his ear. "It can be the fate of anyone who crosses you. I can make it happen. All you have to do is one thing." Dachande turned in the embrace so that he faced her. His green orbs stared into her black ones almost as if he were mesmerized by them. She was alluring to the core and despite her change he found her beautiful in an alien sort of way. "What would you have me do?" He whispered back.
She smiled at him then and leaned in closer. "Feed me...." She spoke against his lips. "And unleash me." Then she kissed him fiercely. Dachande felt like he was just kissed by a lightning bolt, such was the intensity of her kiss. He felt like he was going to burn up from the inside. He saw with horror as her very aura, the very dark energies that warped the fabric of reality around her, expand and cover him as well. He tried to pull away from the kiss but she held him fast. His lungs burned, his vision swam and his heart felt like it was going to explode. He tried to scream but found he couldn't breathe. He truly was going to die in the arms of his beloved.

Dachande opened his eyes and gasped for air. He looked around and found that he was in his chambers and in his own bed. All that was just a dream he realized. Yet he couldn't help but shiver at the memory of it. The thing that Jeswarai became was beautiful, powerful and deadly. It was death given physical form and he held it in his arms. Was this the power the kamael truly possessed? No, he shook his head and almost laughed out loud, impossible, it was just a dream. Movement and a soft moan caught his attention to his left. Jeswarai murmured something in her sleep and then moved in closer to him to rest her head on his chest. Good, she was still asleep, there was no need to disturb her. He looked down at her and gently brushed his hand over her silver hair. He was rewarded with another soft moan. Whatever you are, little bird, I will always cherish and protect you. If this is what you will truly become then I shall be there by your side to see it happen. He smiled at her before closing his eyes and giving into sleep once more.
