A tall, slender figure of a woman moved with elegant yet silent steps towards the Town of Oren. She no intentions of sticking around, but he had a delivery to do. After all, she had made them a promise, and she was one to keep her promises.
She didn't look to be too old, but there was something on her eyes that denied that fact. Her eyes were wise. Too wise for a woman looking that young.
She approached the Inn slowly, the one in Oren as she had established it. A messenger was waiting for her, punctually as she had expected him to be.
"This is to be delivered to Theren Grey", she told the man, giving him an envelope, sealed with the Vasper family seal. "Only to him. And you'd better make sure he will receive it".
The man nodded as the woman gave him a bag full of coins. "If I get to know that the letter wasn't delivered..."
"I know, M'Lady. The letter will be delivered"
"Good", the woman said, leaving the place as elegantly as she had first entered, with a grin on her lips. Her task had been completed. The world had to believe they were dead, and perhaps, in more than one way, they truly were. Their previous lives had to be erased order to give room for their new ones. Without any of the hindrances from before.
Her job had been perfectly done. And thinking of it brought a proud grin to her lips.
It was time for their new beginning.

On the envelope, it could be read "To Theren and Rhedyn". Upon opening the envelope, a letter could be found, partially written in a female caligraphy, and partially with a more rough, male one.
The first page was in a rough caligraphy that showed signs that it was written by a trembling hand.
"Theren,
If you're receiving this letter, it means our time has run out and we're no longer amongst the living. I wish I would have been given a chance to proper say my goodbyes, but perhaps it was better this way. I would have hated to see the look on Buki's face if she were to witness my demise.
There's no chance for us anymore. My life's ending and so is Lavinia's, and as we wait for our final days, we thought it was only fair that you'd get to know what happened to us. We've been labeled traitors, heretics, despised and depreciated only for having followed our hearts instead of our reason. But there's not much else left to do. When you receive this letter, it will be too late.
But I needed to thank you. For being a friend even though you refused to admit it. For loving my sister, even though you did so in your own way. For showing me that sometimes swiftness was more effective than brute force. Perhaps if I had known to be more like you, I would have lived.
But I don't want this to be a sad departure. Please, take care of my Buki. Let her know how much I loved her, and that I will take her memory with me when I meet Her Goddess. Take care of my children. Tell them both that I loved them before I even knew them.
I hope one day our paths will cross again. But I hope that day won't come to you as soon as it came to me.
Sincerely,
Kennard.

The second page was a more tidy, almost regal caligraphy that clearly belonged to a woman.
"Theren,
Part of me wished I could have been with you one last time before my time came. If I could have done anything, if I could have one wish, it'd be to look into your eyes and thank you for teaching me how to be myself. But it's too late now...
Do not cry for me. I am glad and proud of what I've done in my life. I'm proud of having known you, and loved you, even though we had our own particular ways of doing so. But I've learned a lot from you, and all I hope is that once my soul is in Shilen's hands, that I will at least keep the memories of our times together.
Remember me for what we had, don't cry for me. I will be waiting to see you again someday, hoping that it won't come to you anytime soon.
With love,
Lavinia

A middle-aged man, fully dressed in his Ceremony armor, stood in front of two new tombstones in Aden's Cemetary. He slowly leaned towards the white stone, placing some flowers next to it. His eyes stared at the inscriptions for a few minutes, and the older man, who was usually self-righteous and almost unbreakable, wiped a tear that was falling from the corner of his eyes.
"May Einhasad take care of your souls, my children". The man said before stepping away, back to his old life and duties in Gludin Castle Town.
