"You know, of course, that the Kamael do not serve the god or goddess who created them. In this way, the Elves serve Eva, the Dark Elves serve Shilen, the Dwarves serve Maphr, the Orcs serve Pa'agrio, and the Humans serve Einhasad. Only we serve no god... Does that not seem somewhat unnatural? If one of those gods or goddesses created us, why do we not worship him or her? Who is our true creator?"
"Are you saying that someone other than a god created us?"
"Well... what do you think? Curb your impatience. Relax and think. Based on what you will hear and feel in the future, the day will come when you will make your own decision... I assume you have heard of this as well? Though it is no longer the case, this Isle of Souls was once sealed, hidden between dimensions... Why do you suppose it was sealed? The other races believe that it was because of the Kamael's exceptional combat abilities, but do you really think a dimensional seal was necessary for just that reason? Hiding an island of this size between dimensions would have been almost impossible even for the combined strenght hundreds -- even thousands -- of the best magicians on the continent."
"Does that mean there was another reason?"
Between dimensions, away from prying eyes... Is it not natural to surmise that the true purpose was to hide this Isle of Souls?"
"Then was this Isle of Souls sealed between dimensions in order to hide it from someone?"
"That is what is recorded in the Kamael's "Lost History". To continue... This Isle was sealed between dimensions because if it had been left in this world, there was a high probability of it being discovered. In other words, it was being hidden from someone with the ability to scan the entire world..."
"Then...a god?"
"Perhaps. Or at least an equal of the gods."
"Why did the Kamael have to hide themselves in the first place?"
"For ages, this Isle acted as a seal between dimensions, but as you can see, the island and its inhabitants, the Kamael, have now been unsealed. It is unknown who was responsible for unsealing the island, but the first outsiders to set foot on the newly unsealed Isle of Souls were a man in black armor and a lady in a blue dress. Hierarch Kekropus treated them very cordially, almost as if they were royalty or... something greater. A few months later, the Kamael came to this island one by one... Now the the Isle has been unsealed, it is the focus of the world's collective attention."
"If the Isle of Souls was hidden to avoid discovery, why would it be revealed now?"
That is a mystery. Perhaps the original reason for hiding the island is no longer necessary -- or perhaps there is an even more compelling reason to risk unsealing the island. I wonder how the Kamael will cope with this sudden change... I suppose that will be decided by how well and wisely you young people act. It is far past time for you to take ownership if your own destiny as a race."
=======================
the above is courtesy of Aenya who typed that out from IG screens for CCQ's i believe.
it leaves the Kamael history murky. leaving us with many options to write our own.
the purpose of this thread is to discuss a TIMELINE or BREIF history synopsis that we can all agree on and use in out NON-kamael character's RP's. for example my tyrant has a connection to a summoner who was around for the trapping of Baium in TOI. i would use a venture that this summoner suggested to the Kamael's god that they should be sealed off in another dimension because the fight against baium was over and the services of the Kamael race would no longer be necessary and that Aden would in no way war the Kamael any longer.
or another example; a dwarf among us may decide that it was the purpose of the dwarves to craft weaponry fit for all persons but when the Kamel were destined to be sealed off, a dwarf warsmith showed the secrets of dismantling weaponry to change into the Rapier, Bowgun, and Ancient sword.
etc etc.
so in order to sync our stories and at least give some sort of interweaving or streamlined RP, lets all lay down what we would use as the Kamael history, purpose of sealing off, etc etc and lets TRY to help each other out in pointing out inconsistencies or flaws, constructively. state your reason and suggest a fix. when we have a ll our stories together we will know where we stand as a group and this may even lead to the weaving together of all our stories using a PAST (using the ongoing plots and RP's will be the PRESENT).
i'll go first, briefly.
Spudnik's parents were slain at the hands of an escaped Soulbreaker from the dimensional island of souls. Spudnik was left in the care of the elders of the tribe and as a young lad started more fights than he could finish. when he came to learn of his parent's fate he showed no emotion but inside he began to vow revenge. he has sought the reason for unsealing the dimensional bonds but no ivory tower wizard could tell him. the reason for the unsealing and for his parents death is now his focus and motivation.
your turn!

My turn then. *yoinks*
What I know of Aenya, who has a mind of her own at times, is that she knows a lot more than anyone could ever expect of her and has a impressive memory (which is rare among elves who discard whatever they don't need), but choses not to divulge any information she deems irrelevant to anything that happens at the time. I would be thinking in the dozens of thousands of tons of books she's dug through in her life, she must have come across "something" concerning a hidden rift in the dimensions. Thus she would not be very surprised at the new presence.
However there is a big flaw in what you just said spud. Kamael do not have a god, because they were not created by one, from what I understood from all the bits of lore ingame. And I'm thinking they really were a creation of Giants, hidden from the eyes of the gods, just look at the architecture in their town. Like giant's buildings, just in red. If we assume that is true, that would mean the Kamael could not have possibly been there when Baium was punished, because that was far far later than the fall of Giants.

Well, I'm not sure much about the history of the Kamael, but I have my own theories which I'm entertwining with Kiltain's story.
They've been created (Not sure yet by whom, Giants sound like a good option) before the creation of the other races, to serve as powerful warriors, detached from the other gods, a race of their own, with no particular god to place their faith in, and believing in the generalistic gods of the past, present and future. "Mother Nornil" is actually a name used by the one that created them, in order to give them some focus.
They had been designed, by this mysterious person or group of people (Could be the Giants?) in order to become valuable warriors that could, in a way, change the destiny of the entire world. Originally they had no curse, they were extremely powerful and skilled in the combat arts. A male Kamael that displayed great strength and fighting power would follow the way of the Berserker, and they were then able to destroy entire armies with just a few of them, that powerful they were. Or, if they showed more mental strength than physical one, they'd go the route of the Soul Breaker, using their powerful spells to disrupt the enemy.
The females, however, were faster, and sneakier, so they became the "spies". The ones that would travel around the world collecting information for their warrior troops. Or setting traps to catch the enemy, or, as the mentally-capable male Kamael, using their magic to entrap their enemies. They were extremely fast and sneaky, being able to catch a female Kamael was close to impossible.
The Kamael Hero (forgot his hame now) was the strongest of the Kamael. He was a Berserker, his ability in combat was comparable to no other, however, he allowed himself to display way too much power. That attracted the attention of the Gods. And they weren't pleased.
The Gods, or someone even more powerful than the gods, fearing that they were a little too powerful, and fearing that they would, sooner or later, take control of what was "their" world (Their meaning the Gods's), decided, all together, that the Kamael had to be trapped. Sealed from the eyes of the whole world and unable to leave their own lands. And they were also cursed: forcing them to use Light Armor lowered their defenses, they were forced to acquire souls for their main skills, and the healing spells were only 60% effective. They were also stripped of one of their wings, which allowed them to fly at first, cutting half of their original power. The Gods had decided that only through hard work and training, they could achieve their original two-winged form, and even so, it'd be a temporary state, so they would learn how to use that power strategically. With those curses put on them, they found a way to seal the Kamael lands between dimensions, keeping it hidden from mostly all of the other races. Learning from their mistakes, the gods then proceeded to create the other races (and then we follow the original lore). And that didn't go so well. The other races soon started going one against the other, and we know all that from the in-game lore.
The dimensional veil was very thick and not everyone could see, but magical creatures or even Elders with psychic abilities were able, if concentrated enough, to go "past" the veil and contact the Winged creatures. For those particular creatures, the existance of the Kamael are no novelty, they've already known about them for years. Very few have been in contact with them, through telepathy, or through astral projection. The dimensional veil wasn't immune to those two abilities. And when the menace of worst things to come hit the world, the Gods worried about it. And decided that perhaps it was time to ask for the Kamael help to fight alongside their own creations.
Dark in nature, yes, but neutral. They follow no Gods, hence, they have no particular racial issue with any of the other races. They recognize and sympathise with the darker nature of Dark Elves since they were the closest ones to their own lands, and because of their own dark Nature. But they have no hatred towards any of the other races. They're also very elegant, very diplomatic, even when they wield their sword, their fighting style is completely different from the other races. They were taught to be fast and swift, or powerful and strong, but to always keep their politeness and elegance.
However, the curse hasn't been lifted. And my guess is that they are back into the eyes of the normal world so they could lead the races towards an upcoming bigger menace.
That's kinda what I have in mind, honestly. Not sure how flawed that is or not, but I thought of this since I first heard about the Kamael.

Ok!! This is priceless. Just found the old Kamael: A window to the future logs and umm... apparently the Orcs are supposed to see the Kamaels as their "brothers and sisters" and the Kamaels have been part of the Orc history. They're supposed to be in good terms, and actually there's a part where the Orc leader says: "Oppose us and our bond with the Kamael will only grow stronger, until no power in this world can withstand our combined might" HAH! Take that you Kamael-eating ORCS I'll try to transcribe that for you guys tomorrow, I suppose Kama can't keep on thinking he'll eat Varnak anymore Edit: Couldn't help but staying up to finish reading it. Hmm... very very interesting. I have to say my theory wasn't that far off after all, about the Kamael being released to "fight a bigger battle" on the normal world. That lore does say something about the Kamaels being the perfect warriors to fight all evil and stuff like that. But actually, we can't tell from that quest if every race is "honest" about them. Not even the Orcs I'll really try to transcribe everything and all. Can't promise you deadlines, though, but I'll do my best. GAH this is too cool for words.

Heh no, I hate tea Alright... here's the transcription from that quest. I'll be separating into different posts, since it's a bit long. This is too good for words!! ---------- Dominic (Human Priest): Hey, adventurer, aren't you curious to know why I am so pleased? Ah I doubt your imagination could even begin to grasp the amazing truth hidden in this dark temple... Have you heard of the Kamael? Of course not! The look of even greater than usual ignorance on your face shows me that you know nothing about it. Ah, the Kamael! It is like a magical key, designed to unlock the future of the five races. It is like a succulent fruit, too tempting to resist. It is like... ah well, it is likely beyond your comprehension. "I am going back unless you give me some real information"Dominic: Calm yourself, my friend. I will satisfy your hot-headed curiosity. Noble Elmore sought me out not long ago and asked a particular favor of me. It concerned a lost race, separate from the five that you know, a race known as the Kamael. Ah, how I wish you could see your expression! Priceless! But I suppose that your shock is entirely natural. Silence your skeptical tongue -- what I tell you is completely true, on my word of honor. This divine race not only exists, it is known to the leaders of each of the five races. But they are vexed that information about the Kamael is so sparse. Are you up to the challenge of finding the truth? I will offer you the task if you desire it. Accept and many of your questions will be answered... "I will take the job"Dominic: Can't resist the urge to find out the truth, eh? You want to know, as I do, who exactly are the Kamael? Make no mistake, my young friend, I am only interested in one thing: I wish to use them in order to shake this sorry, sad world to its very foundations. THe prating noble asked me to find an adventurer qualified to discover what each of the races know about the Kamael. Why? My net spreads much further afield than his, that's why, and he think that nothing that might cause embarrassment can be traced back to him. Inbred fool! Join my cause and you will be suitably rewarded for your part. Of course, the greater reward might be the truth you discover about the Kamael race itself. ++++++ Human Race: Klaus Blackbird: Dominic is truly a cunning character to have found me a suitable person so quickly. "What exactly are you planning?" Klaus: Hush, child! The walls have ears, you know1 now listen: I, as a chief of the Warrior Guild, agreed to follow Dominic's plpan. I don't know exactly what he told you, but I wholeheartedly agree with his insistence that authority over the Kamael should be transferred to us, the Humans. That is why I am willing to aid Dominic -- not simply for my sake, but for the sake of all Humans. We must not allow a few second-class gods to unfairly favor other undeserving races. This is our time in history! This is our world! "What kind of unfair treatment do you think Humans receive?"Klaus: Most commoners believe that the Human race was created by Einhasad. But an adventurer of your stature certainly knows that that is false; Humans were in actuality the first creation of Gran Kain... and his first failure. That is why the other races hold us in such low regard. But despite taht ignoble beginning, we have grown from the lowest to the most exceptional people in the world! Our civilization is unmatched, but we still cannot match the physical superiority the other races have by virtue of their birth. As a result, we are in constant danger of being exterminated! Not a month goes by that we don't catch some cunning Elf or sly Orc skulking around, spying on us even here! Does that make you uncomfortable? It should! It is only through our wits that we have survived and hrived this long. Ah but the discovery of the Kamael means we have been given a great opportunity to correct the imbalance! According to the legend, Gran Kain wrote a tome about the Kamael and hid it somewhere in this world. Now that book has been found, by a Dwarf of all people. It was clear that Gran Kain's intention was to unite the humans, his own first children, and the Kamael in a mighty alliance. But now the Elves have become involved, threatening that plan. Unless they are stopped, they and the other races will subvert the Humans by asserting their own control over the Kamael. That cannot be allowed; we cannot lose this opportunity to fulfill Gran Kain's will! "Are the Kamael that important?"Klaus: Yes. There is much we still have to learn about the Kamael, but we know beyond a doubt that they are a very powerful race. It is possible that they may even be physically stronger than the Orcs, as well as possessing even more devilish powers than the Dark Elves. But even if they were individually weak, their numbers alone would be a powerful aid. The other races know this, which is why they are all attempting to subvert our relations with the Kamael. The struggle for supremacy has already begun! "What can we do?"Klaus: We must not lose the opportunity given to us by our god. But neither can we afford to act rashly in such delicate times, lest we make things even worse. First we must discover what each race knows about the Kamael and how they plan to win them over. We know that they would not have revealed their true intentions during the Giran Treaty summit, and Sir Klaus Vasper, the Human representative, was unable to penetrate their deceptions. You must learn the truth and then return and report to Dominic in Rune Township. This is a dangerous task, make no mistake about it! But Dominic has already sought out a Grand Master or a guild master from each race -- collaborators from whom we can learn much. Do you have the fortitude, the courage and the wit to undertake this task and see it through the end? The fate of the Human race may well depend on you...

Dwarves:
Warehouse Chief Alder: You must realize that the Iron Gate Guild to which I belong didn't agree to this because we wanted to help the Humans. Our interest stems from the fact that a Dwarf allegedly first discovered the existence of the Kamael, which gives us certain priority rights regarding them. I know that the Elves and Humans look down their noses at us, seeing us as nothing more than tinkerers and traders. But we are an ancient and proud people, and our Dwarven law is sacred to us. Accordingly, we regard the rights we have gained as untouchable.
"What rights have you gained?"
Alder: As the discoverers of the Kamael, we should have exclusive rights to trade with and for the Kamael. I am not so naive as to think that the other races will allow this, not now, but we do have a plan. We are rightly acknowledged for our superior crafting skills and commercial prowess. Witout us, no building of note can be constructed, no armor fashioned, no desirable goods transported.
Deliver this message: We Dwarves want economic access to the Kamael. If we are denied this, we will deny the Human kingdoms the works of our hands and our minds. And there is one thing more...
"What is it?"
Alder: Confidential information about the Kamael. We have already attempted to contact the Kamael, and although we were unsuccessful, we nevertheless learned more about them than all of the other races combined. Because of that, we want our research to be kept secret.
And because of our efforts, we believe that the Iron Gate Guild, with its wide-ranging influence and firm economic foundation, should be in charge of the efforts regarding the Kamael from this point on.
-------
Orcs:
High Prefect Aklan: Finally, the one with the Mark of Future has appeared! That Human must have set things in motion after all. Well, it matters little. I wanted to see you because I wish to make known the Orcs' position regarding the Kamael.
Listen to my words as though Pa'agrio himself speaks to you.
The world is abuzz with news of hte Kamael, and the other races fall over themselves in their rush to send emissaries to the new race. Fools! It was not the Dwarves who discovered the Kamael, you know. Long before their disappearance, they left traces of themselves in ancient Orc legends.
In their greed and fear, the other races are blind to this fact: the Kamael will not ally themselves with any of them. Their blood is valiant, ancient and pure, as is the blood that beats from Orc hearts and flows through Orc veins. Hearing of their reappearance is like receiving word that our lost brothers and sisters have returned. We welcome them!
"Brothers and sisters?"
Aklan: Yes. The Kamael are as fierce as fire and as strong as the stones of the Sacred Plateau. From the beginning, they were born and bred to be a warrior race. So Tarkai Zu Duda-Mara learned from their chief.
Why do you think the other races are so eager for the Kamael's friendship? It may seem as though they see the new race simply as a means of advancing their own power, but the deeper truth is that they are all motivated by fear. That is the same reason why we Orcs are hated by the other races; they fear our strength and prowess in battle. Therefore, go and say this to the Humans: We Orcs have no need to exploit the Kamael, but wish instead to welcome them as our blood kin from ancient times. Oppose us and our bond with the Kamael will only grow stronger, until no power on this world can withstand our combined might. Do you understand?

Dark Elves
Grand Master Oltlin: Make no mistake; we are forced to collaborate with the Humans for only one reason: to prevent teh hated Elves from acquiring influence over the Kamael.
How the goddess Eva saw fit to award the Innadril Elves supremacy is beyond belief! Ah, and to think that those wretched Innadril Elves then allowed themselves to be tricked by the Elves of the Elf Village, tarnishing the honor of all Dark Elves. Ay de mi!
Remember this: the Elves intentionally tried to exclude us from the Giran Treaty summit. Only through the request of the Adventurers Guild were we permitted to finally send a representative to the proceedings. That insult to the Dark Elves will not be forgotten -- or forgiven! But I suppose it was naive of us to expect any decency from those cowardly Elves, skulking forever under their so-called Mother Tree.
"Did such a thing really happen?"
(Here I think it's missing a screenie)
Oltlin: Perhaps we brough it on ourselves, fearful as we were that they would seek the Kamael's power in order to destroy us. Never trust an Elf! We have discovered that the Kamael's physical strength and prowess in battle are similar to that of Dark Elves and Orcs. We have received information that the Orcs are in fact attempting to conclude a secret alliance with the Kamael. We too wish an opportunity to meet with this new race, but the controlling Elves will not allow such a thing to happen without their incessant meddling.
But hear me: Dark Elves and Kamael must be allowed to interact freely. Do you understand?
+++++++
Elves
Magister Juris: Our relationship with the Kamael is closely connected to Eva's blessings, which is why many Elves believe that this will be a holy union. I suppose the one who sent you, as well as the other races' collaborators, will be quite dismayed to hear the news. THey will undoubtedly suspect that I only agreed to participate in this venture in order to oppose the Elves.
"What do you mean?"
Juris: Dominic selected his collaborators from factions of each race who were dissatisfied with the terms of the Giran Treaty. The local Elven Magisters have joined this... ah, conspiracy... ostensibly because of the conflicts with the Elven leaders of the Innadril region.
But this is actually just a ruse. Whatever happens, we must prevent the other races from allying against the Elves. Our participation in this cabal provides us an opportunity to listen to the other races' position on the Kamael and gives us much-needed time to consider their proposals.
"WHat should I tell him?"
Juris: I already told you, the one who led the Kamael since the beginning is Eva, goddess of water. The reason Eva chose the Elves to lead the Kamael in her stead is not because of the unconditional affection that the Orcs and Dark Elves talk about. No, it is rather that wise Eva wishes to restore order to this chaotic world by combinding the magic of the Elves with the strength of the Kamael. After much study, we Magisters believe that only the Elves can manage the Kamael's amazing abilities. To our great sadness, however, the other races -- including the Humans -- suspect us of more selfish motives.
"Should I tell them the truth?"
Juris: Yes! And take this mark I give you as a token of good faith with which to convince him. If the Humans persist in using the power of Orcs or Dark Elves to divide Elves and the Kamael, our world will descend even further into chaos.
But I for one harbor the hope that the Humans will understand our purpose and support us. Although theirs is a tragic history, through their own wisdom and power they have built a powerful civilization. We Elves do not wish them to again stray into foolishness and attempt to twhart the will of the gods, as they did when their race was still young.
A Human here in Giran is in agreement with me and wishes to tell you about his personal experience with the Kamael. His name is Sir Kristof Rodemai.

Sir Kristof Rodemai
Have you just met with Magister Juris, by any chance? If so, you must be the one I have heard of. Welcome! I hoped to speak with you, but I doubted whether you would really come to see me. You wish to hear more about the Kamael, I expect?
"Yes"
Kristof: Very well; if that is really your intention, I will tell you as briefly as possible. First, though, let me tell you that I know that the one who gave you this task is the chief of the powers arrayed against us. But hear me! My purpose in meeting with you now is not to try and win you to our cause. I simply wish to give you all the facts.
I don't know if you are aware of it, but I recently journeyed to the Kamael town as an aide to Sir karen Bespa, the Human representative at the Giran Meeting. How can I describe the experience? It was transformative, and I feel an obligation to share what I discovered with others.
Needless to say, I do not entirely agree with the Elf's opinions. But I do think that we need to look at the Kamael situation objectively. There will undoubtedly be a whole herd of eager young adventurers like yourself ready to acquaint themselves with the Kamael; I hope that an opinion like mine will also be heard. I believe that an adventurer interested in the Kamael and committed to neutrality is well suited to hear my words and deliver them truthfully to the world, neither adding not subtracting from my tale. You seem a likely candidate -- may I tell you my story?
"THE KAMAEL
Two thousand years ago, an ancient race known as the Kamael lived upon a hidden island, away from the rest of the world. They have been living in a closed ecosystem ever since. Kekropus, Tetrarch of the Kamael, had prophesized that their ancient race would one day re-emerge into the world with the help of Eva. Now, their presence no longer hidden, the old race of Kamael has begun to communicate with the world once more...
A delegation of the five races arrived at the Isle of Souls, where Kekropus greeted us and showed us the town's many wonders. During the tour, we saw the Kamael practicing their combat skills. I became convinced that this ancient race would give the world the warriors it needed to put an end to all evil and corruption.
Male Kamael warriors carry large and menacing swords into battle. I could not help but feel a tinge of terror as I watched the speed and accuracy of their attacks... Female Kamael have prowess with a bow that seems unmatched.
This ancient race of warriors now seeks to escape from isolation. Regardless of their past, we must find ways to work together to help shape the future. We should not delay in greeting the Kamael. Our hearts fill with hope, expectation and anxiety. We head into a new, strange and uncertain future..."
++++++++
Dominic again
Dominic: If what you say is true, these are truly fascinating stories, are they not? As the identify of the Kamael is revealed more and more, the discord between the five races will increase and the world will eventually fall into dark chaos, right? What do you think? Ah, doesn't your heart pound with the mere anticipation of it? Ha, ha. Good job! This is more than I expected, so I know my client will also be very satisfied.

Ooo Val, thank you for posting all of this! I may have to read it again but I love how deep this all is going. I did have to laugh at the "Never trust an Elf! " Isnt that a LOTR line from the dwarf? Poor elves lol
I cant wait to read more on the Kamaels, its prompting me to learn more about all of the lore that I apparently neglected for far too long.

Heh Sav, I was excited with it too, so much that I stood awake 1 hour past the time I said I was going to bed to read all that. And since the quest isn't available anymore, I thought it'd be nice to have it transcripted.
And I get the feeling that none of the races are quite HONEST, except for Sir Kristof. THey all seem to be trying to "pull some grain to their stack" as it said here in Italy. Their views of the Kamael are always mingled with their own selfish purposes. I actually laughed throughout the transcription, I was like "Yeah... right", when the Elves said they had no selfish intentions, or went like "Of course, you only want our money, don't you?", when the Dwarf wanted exclusive commercial rights with the Kamael.
While I think that the Kamael don't really have any intentions of allying themselves with no race. My opinion is that they wish to remain neutral, they might help each and every one of the races, but they won't choose sides.
Now this is getting good, I so wish they'd post some more lore.

What is interesting to me is some of this almost clashes a bit with, if I remember correctly, how badly the Kamael female was treated during her level 20 class change quest. There is a human in that one that basically tosses the requested papers onto the floor and is quite rude. I think it was only the dark elf that was even polite. If each race is seeking to combine forces (or, use as far as I can see) with the Kamael, it seems at best not everyone agrees with the idea.
I will be doing that quest again soon so I can see for sure, I read through it rather quickly the first time because there were only 5 million other Kamael leveling behind me and I wanted to get the few quest mobs before everyone else.

Heh well, I think it's a bit conflicting to be honest. The quest only expressed the feelings of the human "leaders" or some of their representatives, but I would think a lot of the other humans would fear the Kamaels exactly for the fact they do not know about them enough. I know Varnak has a neutral stance. He does not pick sides nor he will, he's learned how to remain in his neutrality. He came forward on request, and since the one doing the request was an old Echo member who stays in good terms with the clan, he put a word for him. And while he's in the Academy, he's learning and taking notes of each one of the members. As he says: "The only way to successfully win a battle is to know your allies well and your enemies better". He has his notebook and he's got notes on each one of us in the clan But he's neutral. He won't join the Humans, or the Elves, or the DE's, or the Orcs or the Dwarves in their own personal cause. If it's a mutual battle where they need to cooperate and fight together, then he will. But he won't favor one in spite of the other.

I dunno about you Savanya, but I got the impression in that quest that the reason he threw the papers on the ground was because he wanted to see some bum >.>

Reviving the thread. Last afternoon I was bored and started reading quests and lore and stuff, and found out a confirmation about the Kamael being a creation of the Giants. That was found in the Kamael subclass quest: The Kamael heroes (Katenar, Rodenpicula and Harkilgamed) and Hierarch Kekropus (apparently other Elders as well) were the first Kamael created, called Spicula Kamael. Born incredibly strong, but limited. They couldn't evolve, they couldn't be anything else but what they were. They also seem to be immortal. Katenar speaks of Kekropus having lived 10.000 years so far. Here's what Harkilgamed says: "Do you know? The Gods and the Giants became enemies? I have heard that story, that the Giants tired of the gods' rulership and constant family squabbles. That is why the Giants sought the power to Oppose the gods, but they were unsuccessful. Ask Kekropus about how the gods first fought with themselves, and only later with the Giants. Eventually, the Giants decided to create soldiers they could use to defend themselves against the gods. They were not successful until Mimir, the most brilliant scientist among the Giants, discovered a breakthrough. The Great Emperor Kaiser gave us the name Kamael, which means "One who avenges..." Is it so surprising? In the course of your journeys, you must have some of the remaining Giants. In Krumatap, the cave f the GIants, many were born, like a race of prisoners... But the war between the Giants and the gods is bside the point right now. The important thing is, how did the Kamael come into existence? There was a problem, you see. Do you have any idea what it was? The Kamael, once created, fell short of their expectations. A dagger is only a dagger, after all. It does not suddenly become something more. The Giants then fashioned the sharpest sword and the most powerful cannon ever created, but even with their help, the Kamael were of limited help. And yet your race has survived. Why is that? "Because we are weak?" Compared t the Kamael of that time, you are not weak. But compared to the other constructs of teh Giants and servants f the gods, your race was childish. You needed time to mature, to grow in strength. Two strains of Kamael were created, One was powerful beings, the Spicula Kamael, who could be the spear aimed at the skies. The other strain consisted of Kamael like you. These Metusela Kamael were created weak, but time as on youor side... The Metusela Kamael were also created with the help of the wisest four of that time. Thanks to that, you have better adaptation skills than we do." ++++++++ The rest of the Kamaels that remained (the ones we play) are called Metusela Kamael. Rodenpicula is the only Spicula Kamael, and they didn't really need a gender, according to what she said. The Metusela Kamael were at first like the Humans, considered weak, until Rodenpicula gave them all a bit of her essence, which made them stronger and stronger with time. So in a way, she's considered the "mother" of all the Kamaels. The three Kamael Heroes ARE chased by a "Goddess". Hence why they hide and only show up in specific times, and are always very wary of their surroundings. Rodenpicula does not say which one, but I think they mean Einhasad. Who else? Still couldn't find anything about Harkilgamed killing the second daughter of Einhasad, but I'll keep on searching.

Thank you for finding this stuff, Kally! This'll help loads with the RP I write for Amaranthia, especially if anyone else wants to join up with her.

No problem, Terri (you'll always be Terricia for me ). If you want me to help you out, let me know. After all, I was the first Kamael in this clan *beams proudly* I have to play Varnak more, I miss him. But A grade is BORING alone. UGH.

RP would be awesome-sauce!!
And I know how it feels to be alone. I know all about it. If I ever leave WoW (a very dear and special person is my only true tie to it), better believe that I'll be making a come back, and I will be playing a Soul Breaker. I love the set-up. Reminds me of the elven Bladesingers, from Dungeons and Dragons.

You can always come with me anytime I'm online, just snag me away and we'll go where ever you want You'll have to ask though otherwise I'll probably be leveling Galaen or in a 70+ Catacomb trying to get Caz to 61 EDIT: That goes for everyone by the way

This is where I step up. After the lengthy discussion on vent a long long time ago. After pointing the obvious out to many skeptical people.
I FRIGGIN' TOLD YOU SO!
^^; I feel good. I was RIGHT.

Yep... I like the fact that it's Einhasad chasing the Kamael. Of course, NCSoft won't follow that story to its logical conclusion (the human kingdoms disintegrate into religious wars over the reinterpretation of Einhasad).

The humans would never accept the fact that they are the failed creation of Gran Kain, either!

Prophets are the closest that I've seen that do. Maybe DA's...

I'm talking about as a whole. But I can definately see Dark Avenger's, though rare.

I seem to recall a quest where the NPC actually said "You've been adventuring long enough now, I'm sure you have found evidence that Einhasad is not the creator of humans." or something to that effect. I *think* it might even be one of the DA quests.

To revive this once again...
Let me ask the question... Wouldn't there be some Kamaels who felt that the dimensional seal should've remained in place? Honestly, every society has some people who think major change isn't a good thing. And the Kamael should be no different.
Thats I got time to say at the moment. Later

I believe there could be a few that preferred the isolation. I don't see why not. At least, as far as I remember, there's nothing on the lore that prevents us from claiming that a few Kamaels would have preferred the isolation.
